How to enter Swim Serpentine 2022

General entries for the one-mile* and two-mile events on Saturday 17 September are still available but selling fast, so be sure to enter now before it's too late! Please note that entries for the half-mile event and Super Six have already sold out.

Dive into your chosen distance

Our four swim distances enable people of all abilities to get active on the Serpentine Lake this autumn. You can find out more about each distance by clicking on the links below.

Wave timetable

When you sign up for your chosen swim distance, you’ll be able to choose a start wave on a first-come, first-served basis. Swimmers will set off at regular intervals during the day to ensure there’s plenty of space for everyone enjoy the experience.

* This wave is ideal for swimmers who can complete the two-mile distance within 90 minutes. 

Medal and souvenir swim hat for every finisher

All finishers will receive a medal after their swim – no matter what their time and ability – as well as a souvenir swim hat to wear on the day!

Could you take on the London Classics?

The two-mile distance at Swim Serpentine is also one of the three events that make up the London Classics – a trio of prestigious events brought together to create an endurance challenge like no other. The other events that comprise the London Classics are the TCS London Marathon and the RideLondon-Essex 100.

Your safety is our number-one priority at Swim Serpentine, so our water safety team will be standing by to assist on the day. The Swim Serpentine course will be clearly marked by large buoys, so you’ll find it easy to make your way around your chosen swim distance.
